Legislation
Acts of law published on our site come from the website of the Dziennik Ustaw Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej (Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland) pursuant to the provisions of the Act of 20 July 2000 on the promulgation of normative acts and some other legal acts (consolidated text Dz. U. (Journal of Laws) of 2019, item 1461) – www.dziennikustaw.gov.pl or Internetowy System Aktów Prawnych (Internet Database of Legal Acts, Polish abbr. ISAP). Legal acts from ISAP do not constitute the source of law.
The sources of law that are binding in the Republic of Poland include, among others, Acts of Parliament and regulations. Acts of Parliament and regulations become effective as soon as they are promulgated in accordance with principles and in ways specified in the abovementioned Act on the promulgation of normative acts and some other legal acts.
Normative acts and other legislative acts that require promulgation are published as electronic documents in the meaning of the Act of 17 February 2005 on the computerization of activities performed by bodies engaged in delivering public tasks (consolidated text, Dz. U. of 2021, item 670, as amended).
European Union legislation comes from the Official Journal of the European Union.
