Organisation of Radiation Protection Department
Tasks:
- Initiating, organising and conducting research and development, and implementation-related activities in the field of radiation protection;
- Initiating activities to obtain assistance funding of international organisations for organisational and technical support of radiation protection system;
- Analysing the information provided through findings of inspections performed by the State Sanitary Inspection bodies;
- Analysing reports of committees for procedures and external clinical audits, and drafting relevant conclusions;
- Analysing reports from internal and external clinical audits, laid down in Article
33v (6) and Article 33w (19) respectively of the Act of 29 November 2000 – Atomic Law; - Carrying out activities in the field of administrative and technical support to the activities of the committee on procedures and external clinical audits, referred to in the provisions of the Act of 29 November 2000 – Atomic Law;
- Keeping Central Register of Data on Medical Exposures referred to in Article 33zf of the Act of 29 November 2000 – Atomic Law, and the Central Register of Unintentional and Accidental Exposures, referred to in Article 33m (11) of the Act of 29 November 2000 – Atomic Law;
- Providing substantive support to organisational units of the State Sanitary Inspection in the field of radiation protection;
- Presenting proposals of priorities for implementing elements of the radiation protection system;
- Cooperation with appropriate scientific societies to exchange information and mutual consultation regarding projects concerning the medical application of ionising radiation;
- Cooperation with the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, Chief Sanitary Inspector, Chief Sanitary Inspector of the Polish Army and Chief Sanitary Inspector of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, in the field of the medical application of ionising radiation.
