Radiation protection inspector
Training for candidates to become radiation protection inspectors authorised to perform internal supervision of compliance with radiation protection requirements in healthcare facilities.

The types of authorisation granted to radiation protection inspector in healthcare facilities whose activities include:
- The commissioning or use of x-ray apparatus for the purpose of x-ray diagnostics or commissioning of such labs, or
- The commissioning or use of x-ray apparatus for the purpose of x-ray diagnostics, interventional radiology, surface radiotherapy or radiotherapy for benign diseases in facilities other than medical x-ray labs;
the types of activities they are authorised to supervise and detailed terms and conditions for granting such authorisations are governed by the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 14 October 2021 on granting radiation protection inspector authorisation to perform internal supervision of compliance with the requirements for radiation protection in healthcare entities (Dz. U. of 2021, item 1908).
Pursuant to Article 7 (6) of the Act of 29 November 2000 – Atomic Law the authorisation of the radiation protection inspector to perform internal supervision of compliance with the requirements for radiation protection in healthcare facilities shall be granted to the person who:
- has full legal capacity;
- holds at least secondary education;
- has passed, not earlier than 2 years before the date of application for granting the authorisation, the examination concluding the completed training referred to in the provisions issued pursuant to Article 71 (12);
- has worked in the conditions of exposure for the period relevant for the type of authorisation granted, laid down in the provisions issued pursuant to Article 71 (12).
